摘要 | Eliminating disagreement in a group is usually beneficial to social stability. In this study, the authors initiate a design of practical noise intervention to eliminate group disagreement. For the well-known Hegselmann-Krause - based divisive system, the authors propose a quite simple but promising noise intervention strategy that could resolve the group disagreement in finite time and induce the opinions synchronised to a targeted value. To be specific, the authors intentionally introduce a weak random noise to only one agent to affect its evolutionary opinion and also a leader agent with a fixed opinion in a divisive group, then strictly prove that the disagreement is finally eliminated and opinions get synchronised to the leader's opinion in finite time. Moreover, the authors calculate the finite time, which is a new stopping time, when opinions synchronously reach the objective opinion value. It is interesting to find that the finite stopping time is integrable when the noise is oriented, while not integrable when the noise is neutral. This could provide a further guide for designing more efficient intervention strategies for elimination of divergence. |
