摘要	A modified version of the low-order mixed finite element method proposed by Onate et at. [Internat. J. Numer. Method. Engng. 37 (1994) 2569] for the Reissner-Mindlin plate model is analyzed. It is proved that the new method is optimal convergent, uniform in the thickness of the plate. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
