AbstractIn this short paper we establish the existence of a global attractor for the strongly damped wave equation with a nonlinearity of critical growth, which is bounded in H(2)(Omega) x H(2)(Omega) and attracts every H(0)(1)(Omega) x L(2)(Omega)-bounded set with respect to the H(0)(1)(Omega) x H(0)(1)(Omega) norm.
