摘要	Let F-q be a finite field of q elements. We show that the normalized Jacobi sum q(-(m-1)/2)J(chi(1), . . . , chi(m))(chi(1) . . . chi(m) nontrivial) is asymptotically equidistributed on the unit circle, when chi(1) is an element of A(1), . . . , chi(m) is an element of A(m) run through arbitrary sets of nontrivial multiplicative characters of F-q(x), if #A(1) >= q(1/2+is an element of) , #A(2) >= (logq)(1/delta-1) for epsilon > delta > 0 fixed and q -> infinity or if #A(1)#A(2)/q -> infinity. This extends previous results of Xi, Z. Zheng, and the authors. (C) 2021 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
