摘要	It is proved that subject to certain physically reasonable restrictions on the curvature of spacetime, an algebraically special, asymptotically simple and empty spacetime is necessarily a copy of the Minkowski space. This imposes further requirements a nontrivial asymptotically simple and empty spacetime has to satisfy.
