摘要	The equilibrium shape of a class of axisymmetric vesicles, first discovered by Naito et al. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 74, 4345 (1995)), is given explicit coordinate description in terms of elliptic function. The elliptic function description reveals that there are actually two branches of non-congruent shapes of axisymmetric vesicles associated with the Gauss map of the vesicles considered.
