AbstractThe numerical approximation of the unsteady natural-convection flow from a vertical flat plate with a surface temperature oscillation is investigated. Asymptotic solutions for small times are analyzed by a perturbation method. Results show that numerical solutions are in good agreement with the asymptotic solutions for the small times. At large time, the flow becomes steady and the numerical solutions are compared with the steady solutions.
