AbstractIn this paper, some finite-dimensional approximations for the ground state solution of Bose-Einstein condensates are investigated. The convergence of the finite-dimensional approximations obtained by a Galerkin discretization of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation is proved. Several upper bounds of the approximation errors are also established.
